Contemporary Balham Garden with Play Structure

This garden was originally on 2 levels, with the lower level proving an awkward, small space to use. So, we built the deck so that it was all flush with the existing lawn and put in-built seating so that this area could be used for relaxing and dining.

The clients wanted to maximise the space they had for the children and have a number of play spaces, so we created a playhouse.  This had a pivoting circular opening and an access panel opening out onto the monkey bars, and then a balance beam at the end, plus a hidden platform.

We put in new Jacksons Canterbury combi fencing around the perimeter and put in a mix of evergreen shrubs for structure as well as climbers, perennials and bulbs for all year-round interest.
